Monday- We had a lesson fall through so we went out and invited and found a guy that we had taught last week and we didn't realize it was him! So we taught him but he hadn't kept his commitments because we later found out that he couldn't read. He said that he didn't understand the last lesson so we offered to help him read, as well as help me read, as always. Then we had a lesson with our investigator named Brother Liu. He came and was excited to say something. SO we started the lesson and went on and asked how the Book of Mormon has been. He said, OH! I have something to say. A few weeks ago he had been praying all day for multiple days. Whenever he had free time he said he would pray. So one night he had a dream that he was on top of a mountain and didn't know why. He then woke up and went to go read in the Book of Mormon. As brother Lui was relating his dream,  Elder Jex and I thought to ourselves, that sounds like Nephi's dream (of course we didn't know what each of us was thinking until the lesson was over). Anyway, brother Lui said, "As I turn the page to continue my reading, it was 1 Nephi 11:1 ("For it came to pass after I had desired to know the things that my father had seen, and believing that the Lord was able to make them known unto me, as I sat apondering in mine heart I was bcaught away in the Spirit of the Lord, yea, into an exceedingly high cmountain, which I never had before seen, and upon which I never had before set my foot.") and it was the exact verse that Nephi had his dream on top of a mountain. Needless to say, brother Lui was very happy to know it was an answer to his prayers. It is amazing. He is more than willing to follow the commandments.

Tuesday- We almost died. A members parents doesn't like us. So her parents came to the church to come get her but she had left already. So her mom was waiting by the church for some reason so Me and Elder Jex were about to leave and I felt that we needed to stay and wait for the other Elders. So I told them that we all need to get out of here and take a different alley way. When we got out of the alley, we found a member and said hello, and as soon as that happened the mom tried to run us over with her car and honked. So we all tried to get out of there as fast as we could....

Wednesday- One giant mistake I did was try to talk to a Farang. He was from Holland, and he was just interrogating me. He said what is different from your church, I said it is the true church and what not. Then he said, that's what everyone says. Then I talked about the restoration, and he just said, "......and?" I had no idea what else to say in English. We have got it easier here in Thailand for sure. The Khon Thai think it is either Buddhist or Christian. That's it.

Sunday- We had one of our investigators baptized. She is the Daughter of Mae Prayun. Who got baptized about two weeks ago.

It is amazing. They say the same things in their prayers as well, to have happiness. It's wonderful to see the gospel spreading through the members...

วันจันทร์ของสัปดาห์ที่ผานมา เป็นวันหยุดก็เลยไปทานอาหารที่ร้านฝรั่ง ผมสั่งเสตกเนื้อหมูทาน ไม่ได้ทานมาตั้งนานก็เลยอร่อยดี วันนี้ว่าจะกลับไปอิก นอกจากนี้ก็ไปตัดผม ครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย

วันอังคารผมกับเพื่อนก็มีนัดสอนผู้สนใจสองคน คนหนึ่งเป็นหนุ่มที่เข้ามาคุยกับผมในขณะที่ผมและเพื่อนกำลังเดินอยู่ เขาอยากจะเรียนภาษาอังกฤษ แต่ไม่ค่อยอยากจะเรียนเกียวกับพระเจ้า ซึ่งผมคิดว่าควรจะสำคัญกว่า อิกคนเป็นพี่ผู้หญิงคนหนึ่ง ผมเจอพี่คนนี้ตอนที่พี่เขามาส่งลูกที่โรงเรียน พี่เขาเป็นคนดีมาก พี่เขาสนใจและเชื่อฟังในสิ่งที่เรานำมาสอน  แต่อสียดาย พี่เขาต้องไปต่างจังหวัดประมาณหนึ่งเดือน ที่นั้นไม่มีโบสถ์ ผมหวังว่าผมคงยังอยู่ที่นี่ตอนพี่เขากลับมา ผมจะได้ไปสอนพี่เขาอิก

วันพุธก็มีประชุมโซนคอนเฟรนซ์ที่อุดร เราหกคนก็เดินทางนั่งรถทัวร์สี่ชั่วโมง คนเต็มรถ กว่าจะถึงอุดร พอมาถึงอุดร กลุ่มเราก็ไปแวะที่ Robinson ซึ่งเป็นคล้ายๆมอลเล็กๆที่บ้านเรา แต่ชาวอุดรดูเหมือนจะ ไฮโซ กว่าสกล ที่มอลมี McDonalds (ไฮโซไหมครับ) ผมกับเพื่อนก็เลยตัองไฮโซซะหน่อย โดยการไปนั่งทานที่ McDonalds

วันผฤหัสบดีก็เป็นวันประชุม ท่านประทาน Senior เคยเป็นผู้สอนที่ญี่ปุ่น ท่านสอนเราว่าเพื่อนที่เรารู้จักที่ MTC และออกมาสอนร่วมกันนั้น จะเป็นเพื่อนเราตลอดชีวิตของเรา ผมเชื่อครับเพราะเราอย่อด้วยกันตลอด 7วัน วันละ 24 ชั่วโมง นอกนั้นท่านยังสอนเราเกี่ยวกับความสำคัญของครอบครัว ความสำคัญของการเลือกคู่ชีวิตของเรา ผมทราบแล้ว ว่าท่านกำลังสอนว่าช่วงต่อไปของเราคือการสร้างครอบครัวที่ดี อย่างไรก็ตาม ตอนนี้ผมจะตั้งใจที่จะเป็นผู้สอนทีดีที่สุดสำหรับพระผู้เป็นเจ้า

ก่อนจบประชุมก็มีผู้สอนที่กำลังจะกลับบ้านจากการเป็นผู้สอน เขาเล่าถึงตอนที่เขามาใหม่ๆความไม่พร้อม, ป่มด้อย, ค่อบกพร่องและปัญหาต่างๆที่เขามี คำพูดของเขาทำใหิผมมีกำลังใจ อีกอย่าง ปมยังได้เจอกับท่านประทาน และ ซิสเตอร์ Brown ทีมาจากบ้านเดียวกัน

หลังประชุมกลุ่มผมก็ไปขึ้นรถกลับสกล แต่ออกสายไปหน่อย เกือบไม่ทันรถ เลยต้องยืนบนรถ   2 ชั่วโมง ก่อนจะถึงสกลฝนก็เริ่มตก ฝนตกมาก ไฟฟ้าก็ดับทั้งเมือง พวกผมหิวขัาวแต่เพราะไฟดับ ร้านไหนก็ปิด ก็เลยพากันกลับบ้านจุดเทียนนอน

วันศุกร์ผมกับเพื่อนก็สอนน้องชายขนหนึ่ง อยาอายุ 9ปี ผมว่าเด็กคนไทยน่ารักมากเวลาเขาพูด ผมสังเกตุดูเวลาเด็กคนไทยพูด ฟังแล้วดูเหมือนว่าเขากำลังมีอาการคัดจมูก 555 แต่ผมว่าน่ารักดี ยังไงเขาก็ยังพูดเก่งกว่าผมอีกตั้งเยอะ

วันเสาร์ เป็นวันแต่งงานของท่านประทานสาขา ท่านเป็นคนดี ท่านรักภรรยาและครอบครัวของท่านมาก พิธีแต่งงานครั้งนี้เพราะท่านต้องการทำตามทางพระกิตติคุณ ถึงแม้ไม่จำเป็น

ผมโชคดีที่ได้เห็นพระกิตติคุณเปลี่ยนชีวิตและครอบครัวฃองคนที่ปฏิบัตตามคำสอน เขาและครอบครัวรักกันและดูมีความสุข

สำหรับวันอาทิตย์ ที่โบสถ์ก็มีบัปติสมา 5คน ตอนนี้เขาคงยังไม่รู้ถึงความสำคัญทั้งหมดที่เขากำลังกระทำอยู่ แต่มันเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของเขา ที่จะนำเขาและครอบครัวไปสู่ความสุข ทั้งชีวิตนี้และชั่วนิรัณดร์ ผมเองก็ยังเรียนอยู่เช่นเดียวกับเขา เขาเป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีให้ผม ผมทราบดีว่าการที่ผมมาสอนไม่ใช่การเสียสละอะไรเลย ทุกระยะเวลาเป็นโอกาษที่ดีและจะไม่มีอีกท่าเราให้มันผ่านไป

พูดถึงโอกาษ เมื่อ วานนี้ ขณะที่ผมกับเพื่อนขับจักรยานผ่านผู้ชายคนหนึ่ง ไม่ว่าอะไรทำให้ผมต้องหยุด ผมถามเขาว่าคุณอยากจะปราศจากบาปไหม เขาไห้ข้อมูลติดต่อมากับม หวังว่าคงจะได้เจอและสนเขาอีกไม่นานนี้

Well let us start with the First day of Last week. 

Monday- It was a P-day. We ate at a farang restaurant and had pork chops. Pretty tasty, we might go there again today. Then ate ice-cream. I sewed my pants as well. I am really glad I took sports sewing. Finally got my haircut as well. Not too much happened on Monday.

Tuesday- We taught two people. One person just came up off the street wanting to learn about the free english, but he didn't seem too interested about the real reason why we are here. Then we had a lesson with a woman who was dropping her child off at the school near by. She is perfect. She is more than willing to do everything, she is already living the commandments, BUT she is leaving for a month to an area that isn't close nor do we have a church near by her. So when she does come back, if I'm not transferred yet, I will see her. But I will have a new companion by then. 

Wednesday- We had to head to Udorn for zone conference so we had a 4 hour bus ride for that. They pack the buses with people, and it's a charter bus. So it was boiling hot in the bus. Once we got to Udorn, we went to Robinson. Which is pretty much a mall. Udorn is super hi-so (High-Society) well... at least compared to Sakon Nakhon. The mall had a MCDonalds. SOOOO Hi-So. So we definitely had to eat some of that. I missed clogging my arteries with sodium and unknown chemicals. 

Thursday- The actual Zone Conference. We got there first so waited for everyone else. I had an interview with President Senior, and we just talked about how the mission is and what not. Then he gave a talk about his mission. He served in Japan. He said that the people you are in the MTC with, will never be forgotten. He said he is still in contact with all of them. I can believe it. These are the people that you are with 24/7 and you are all learning and growing spiritually together. Then, President Senior also really focused on families. I can see how important families are. Pretty much the next step after mission in life is to get married.... geez... I'll just stick to missionary work for now. I met up with Sister and Elder Brown from our stake. It was good to see them. They also had the finishing missionaries bare their testimonies. That REALLY helped me. They talked about how they felt inadequate at the beginning of the mission. It was definitely relatable. After Zone Conference was over we went home. We almost missed the bus back home. Since we were late on the bus, there were no seats. So we stood on the bus for about 2 hours of the ride in our suits. Sweating all over the place....Once we started getting into Sakon, there was a storm. It was raining soooo hard. The streets were flooding, frogs were out, and the power was out as well. We realized that we had no food, so we stopped by the store. BUT since the power was out, we couldn't buy anything. So we went back home and light candles, and just "sweat" the night away. (No air circulation.)

Friday-We had one of our 9 year old investigators interviewed. Asian children are the cutest. They all sound like they have stuffy noses, and it is just so funny to hear them speak Thai. And better Thai than me, I might add..

Saturday- President of our Branch was having a re-wedding for him and his wife. He is an amazing man. You can see how important his wife is to him and how important the gospel is to him. He shows it by how he lives each day. He is a role model.

Sunday- we had 5 people enter into the waters of baptism in Sakon Nakhon. What an amazing experience. Sometimes they don't even know how great this will help them in life. Baptism is something that will lead them to know what is right, where we are going, and what our purpose is in life. I came into my mission not even knowing the gist of the commandments, as these investigators learn and grow, so do I. Missionary work is an amazing experience and it isn't to be wasted. Every second, every person could be placed there for a reason. Speaking of which, I was inviting yesterday, we were leaving one area and we went down an alley way to head home. There was one guy and we rode past him, then I had the urge to turn around and ask him, "Do you want to clean your sins?" He said yes. I got his contact information and we will try to meet him. The Lord places people in our path. We only testify of the truth, but the Lord does everything else.

สัปดาห์ที่ 4 in Thailand (Week 4 in Sakon, Thailand)

สัปดาห์นี้เรามีบัพติสมาหนึ่งคน เธอมีชื่อว่าประยูร บ้านของเธออยู่ห่างจากโบสถ์ประมาณ 15 กิโลเมตร  เธอต้องปั่นจักรยาน ตลอดทางเส้นนี้เพื่อจะมาประชุมที่โบสถ์ ผมรู้สึกตื่นเต้นและภูมิใจที่ได้มีโอกาศมาพบกับเธอ วันที่เราพบเธอ เธอกำลังอ่านหนังสืออยู่ที่สวนสาธารณะแห่งหนึ่ง ซึ่งตอนแรกเธอไม่ได้ต้องการที่จะคุยกับเราเลย

นอกจากนี้เรายัง ได้ รับเชิญไป งานแต่งงานของผู้สนใจของเรา เขาทั้งสอง มีเป้าหมายทีจะรับบัปติสมาสัปดาห์หน้านี้ ที่นั่นมีอาหารเยอะแยะ ละก็อร่อยมากด้วย เขาต้อนรับผมและเพื่อนเป็นอย่างดี ถึงแม้วาาเราหวังแค่จะมาเยี่ยม

นอกจากนั้น ผมกับเอ็ลเดอร์แทนเนอร์และซิสเตอร์อิกสองคนยังได้ไปเยี่ยมสมาชิกที่บ้านของเขา คุณแม่ของสมาชิกคนนี้มีปลาอร่อยๆให้ทาน ระหว่างเดินทางกลับบ้าน ยังล้อเอ็ลเดอร์แทนเนอร์เล่นเพราะเอ็ลเดอร์แทนเนอร์ทานปลาไม่เป็น ก่อนถึงบ้านเราก็ฝึกพูดภาษาอีสานด้วยกัน "แซบอีหลีอะหลอกะด้อกะเดี้ย" ชึ่งมีความหมายว่า อร่อยมาก อร่อยจริงๆ หรือภาษาเหนือ ลำแท้ๆ

...Well this week was quite exciting. We had one of our investigators baptized yesterday. Her name is Prayun and she lives 15 Kilometers from the church.. AND bikes all the way from there. She is amazing. We met her at the park and she was just reading a book and we actually had to try and convince her to come. She is just such a wonderful little lady.

We were also invited to our investigators wedding. They both are planning on baptism next week, but we were planning on just stopping by and saying hello, but it was a lot bigger than we thought. We also came with Two sisters in our branch.  They sat us down at a table, brought out TONS of food and we were just being taken care of. we definitely didn't finish it all. I don't even think we made a dent in it. but they came by and we got a picture then they had to move on to the rest of the wedding. 

I also went on splits with the other elders in my district. I went with Elder Tanner to visit a recent convert about an hour out of the city, in a car I might add. We got the same two sisters that went with me to the wedding to take us to the house. We talked with him and what not. Then his mom gave us food. Pretty good stuff. 

The sisters were critiquing Elder Tanner because he didn't know how to eat fish. Then they asked if I had ever eat the eyeballs and the brain of the fish and I told them that I have. The sisters wanted to see a khon saharad eat that so I did. Then when we were driving back home we were practicing Thai and a little bit of Isan. Saap Ily Ilaw gadaw gadyah. I will use that a lot when I eat food. haha I feel weird with how fast the mission is. We get people baptized within about 2 weeks. The work is hastening and really fast. Maybe by the time I leave we will try to get a temple here. But a pretty wonderful experience so far...

สัปดาห์นี้ผมมีเรื่องมหัศจรรย์จะเล่าให้ฟัง ตอนต้นสัปดาห์ผมและเพื่อนมีผู้สนใจใหม่ๆ

 21คน ผมมีโอกาศได้สอนหลายคน บางคนเขาก็สนใจ บางคนก็ไม่ แต่ผมกับเพื่อนก็สอนไปเรื่อยๆ   

ไม่กี่วันที่ผ่านมาเรามีประชุมที่โบสถ์เพื่อขอความช่วยเหลือจากสมาชิกให้แนะนำเรากับคนที่เขารู้จัก คนที่นี่เขารู้จักพวกผมดี เขามักจะคิดว่าฝรั่ง3คนกับคนไทย1คนที่พูดภาษาไทยไม่ได้นั้น เป็น salesmen เพราะเหตุนี้จึงมีคนมาสนใจพวกผมมากขึ้น 

ตอนหัวค่ำวันนั้นผมได้มีโอกาศสอนตั้ง6คน ปกติแค่หนึ่งคนยังหายากแทบแย่แหนะ

วันที่เรามีประชุมที่โบสถ์ ตอนเย็นๆเมื่อประชุมเลิกเราก็กลับบ้าน มีสมาชิกคนหนึ่งโทรมาหาพวกผม เผอิญว่าวันนั้นหลานสาวของสมาชิกคนนั้นได้มาเข้าร่วมประชุมที่โบสถ์ด้วย เธอจึงขอร้องให้คุณอาของเธอโทรมาแจ้งให้พวกผมทราบว่า เธอต้องดารที่จะเรียนรู้และรับบัพติสมาในวันรุ่งขึ้น ไม่น่าเชื่อเลยครับคุณพ่อ ผู้หญิงคนนี้เขาไม่เคยเจอคุณพ่อของเขา และไม่เคยรู้เลยว่าคุณพ่อของเธออยู่ที่ไหน วันนั้น ที่ประชุม เผอิญพวกผมได้สอนวิธีการสวดอ้อนวอนอย่างถูกต้อง คุณพ่อครับ คุณพ่อรู้ไหม คืนวันนั้นเธอกลับไปถึงบ้าน เธอก็ลองสวดอ้อนวอนขอให้พระเจ้าตอบเธอ ว่าคุณพ่อของเธออยู่ที่ไหน  ทันทีที่เธอสวดจบลง ก็มีโทรศัพท์เข้ามา ใคร คุณพ่อรู้ไหม.... เป็นคุณพ่อของเธอนั่นเอง.  คืนนั้นเธอยังอธิษฐานต่อ และถามพระเจ้าว่าสิ่งที่เราสอนเป็นความจริงหรือไม่ ในขณะนั้นห้องของเธอเริ่มที่จะสว่างขึ้นเช่นดวงอาทิตย์ส่องแสงในเวลากลางคืน เธอจึงรีบโทรหาเรา

มหัศจรรย์ไหมครับคุณพ่อ มันทำให้ผมนึกถึงพระคัมภีร์ข้อหนึ่งใน 1นีไฟ บทที่3 ข้อที่7 "... 

ข้าพเจ้า​จะไปก​และ​ทำ​สิ่ง​ที่​พระเจ้า​ทรง​บัญชา, เพราะ​ข้าพเจ้า​รู้​ว่า​พระเจ้า​ไม่​ทรง​ให้บัญญัติข​แก่​ลูก​หลาน​มนุษย์, นอกจาก​พระองค์​จะ​ทรง​เตรียมทางค​ไว้​ให้​พวก​เขา​เพื่อ​พวก​เขา​จะ​ทำ​สำเร็จ​ใน​สิ่ง​ซึ่ง​พระองค์​ทรง​บัญชา​พวก​เขา". 

คุณพ่อครับ ผมรู้ว่าถ้าหากชาวสกลกล้าที่จะทำเหมือนผู้หญิงคนนี้ เขาก็จะรู้ด้วยความแน่ใจ ว่าพระกิตติคุณที่พวกผมสอนนั้นเป็นความจริง แต่ผมเสียดายทีคนสกลส่วนมากคิว่ามันเป็นสิ่งที่ยากที่จะทำตาม

อย่างไรก็ตาม พวกผมได้สอนผู้หญิงคนนี้ทุกบท จนจบ แล้วก็สัมพาษณ์, บัพติสมา, และรับพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ในวันนั้นเลย(สำหรับผู้ที่ไม่คุ้นเคยกับบทเรียนต่างๆ ปกติ และอย่างน้อย จะใช้เวลาเป็นเดือนกว่าจะได้รับบัพติสมา). มหัศจรรย์ไหมครับคุณพ่อ

ไว้ผมจะสงรูปของเธอมาให้ดู ส่วนภาษาไทยก็ยังยากอยู่แต่ก็ดีขึ้นทุกวัน อาหารก็อร่อย ผมชอบทานที่7/11 วันก่อนนี้ผมได้ทานมะม่วง หวานมากกกกก....และก็ถูกด้วย อาหารก็ 100 บาทกินแทบไม่หมด

เอาหละผมคงต้องรออิกสักพักคงจะได้ย้าย หวังว่าคงเป็นเชียงใหม่,เชียงราย,โคราช, หรือ อุบล ผมจะได้ไปสอนคุณยายกับ yotz

"Soooooo, This week we had some pretty awesome stuff happen.

..we recently had 21 new investigators. We taught many. Some were willing, some weren't. 

We had a "Fireside" this week where we basically taught members how to invite others. We told the memebers that we look like salesmen in a sea of khon Thai (Thais). The told them that Khon Thai's in Sakon are well aware of who we are, THE three farangs(whites) and the Khon Thai that can't speak Thai. We let the members know that the Khon Thais in Sakon are so much more willing to hear from them, than from us. So that night we went out with members to invite, and it was awesome! The members were able to invite at least 1 person, and the most was 6 people! I have a hard time getting 1 contact! 

Once the night ended, the other elders in our district got a phone call from a member and said that her niece, (who was at the fireside) wanted to be baptized the next day... It was crazy! She had an amazing experience. She didn't know where her dad was, so that night she decided to try out the prayer. She asked to know about him or where he was. As soon as she finished her prayer, she got a phone call from her father! Then she prayed again and asked if this was the true church and if this was something she needed to do. She said that she saw a white light and as soon as that happened she called. 

It is amazing what can happen when we just try our best to do the things the lord commands us.

1 Nephi 3:7 "  I ^awill go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no ^bcommandments unto the children of men, save he shall ^cprepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them."

If only the Khon Thai were willing to do these things, they would know it is true. They are very hard to commit and for them to follow through. SO she was taught in one day, interviewed and baptized the same day and received the Holy Ghost the next. 

A crazy and amazing experience. I will send a photo of her. 

Anyways, It is still little hard for me with the language but it's coming along. Usually a lot of people say stuff really fast and I just asked if they are interested and get their hone number..."

Update เล็กน้อยแต่ช้าหน่อยสำหรับ สัปดาห์ที่สอง ( 3 มีนาคม 2014 ) จากเอ็ลเดอร์แมท บุญมี ซึ่งเป็นวันเกิด ของเขา ในวันที่ 24 กุมภาพันธ์

" ... สำหรับ วันเกิดของผมฉลอง ด้วยการไปทาน อาหาร อเมริกัน . พิซซ่า และ ไอศกรีม . แต่เป็น ความคิดที่ ไม่ค่อยจะดีเท่าไหร่สำหรับผม ( แพ้ แลคโตส ) . สัปดาห์นี้ผมกับเพื่อนได้สอนสองคน ผู้สนใจส่วนใหญ่อยู่ไกลมาก และไม่สะดวกในการเดินทางสำหรับพวกเขา ผมรู้สึกผิดหวังเล็กน้อย ขณะนี้ที่เมืองเริ่มจะร้อนมาก ขนาดค่ำแล้วก็ยังร้อนเลย    เวลาผมกับเพื่อนเดินตามถนน เวลามีคนมองมาทางเรา เพื่อนผมจะพูดออกมาว่า " ดูซิครับ ! เพื่อนผมเป็นคนไทย แต่สามารถ พูดภาษาอังกฤษ เหืมอนฝรั่งเลย " แล้วผมจะพูดต่อว่า" ใช่ครับ, the diaper is very ripe and ready to harvest (ผ้าอ้อมผมเต็ม และ พร้อมที่จะเก็บเกี่ยว ได้แล้ว" คนไทยก็จะมอง ด้วยความประหลาดใจ

ยังไงก็ตาม ก่อนหน้า นี้ ผมกับเพื่อนก็ได้ผู้สนใจสองคน ที่ดูเหมือน จริงจังเขาบอกว่าเขาจะทำตืมพระ บัญญัติและจะ มาโบสถ์ในวันอาทิตย์นี้ ! เมื่อวานนี้ เราได้รายชื่อผู้สนใจใหม่ๆ 16 คน ซึ่งน่าตื่นตาตื่นเต้นมากสำหรับ สาขาสกลนคร 

สมาชิกสาขาสกลเป็นคนที่ดีแลน่ารักมาก เขาดีกับผม ส่วนใหญ่ เขามักจะ ถามว่าทำไมผมพูดภาษาไทยไม่ได้ ผมเข้าใจแล้วหละ ว่าคงไมมีวันที่พวกเขาจะชมว่าผมพูดภาษาไทยได้เก่ง เพราะว่าผมเป็นคนไทย 5555 เขาคง จะ ถามผมต่อไปว่าทำไม ผมไม่สามารถพูดไทย

การทำงานและภาษาก็ยักยากอยู่ แต่ก็เป็นสิ่งที่ท้าทายและดีใจที่ผมได้มีโอกาศ คนส่วนมากจะ ปฏิเสธ เวลาเราคุกับเจาเรืองคริสตจักร พวกเขามักจะพูดว่าพวกเขา ไม่จำเป็นต้องล้างบาบ หรือบางคาั้งเขาก็จะพูดว่า เขาวง จะไม่ได้ไป สวรรค์หรอก

อย่างไรก็ตาม ผมกับเพื่อนก็จะพยายามบอกพวกเขาแบยตรงไปตรงมา ด้วยความหวังว่า เขาจะนำไปคิด และไตร่ตรอง ผมรู้ว่า พระเจ้า ช่วยผมบ่อยครั้งตั้งแต่ผมมาอยู่ืที่ประเทศไทย 

การเนรียนภาษาก็ยังช้าอยู่แต่ผู้สนใจก็มีมาเรื่อยๆ ผมรู้ว่า สิ่งที่ผมกำลังทำอยู่ มีความสำคัญมาก และรู้ว่า สิ่งทีดีและาำคัญ ส่วนมากจัไม่ใช่สิ่งที่ง่าย... "

Little behind on the second week (March 3, 2014) update from Elder Matt Boonmee.  His birth day was on the 24th of February so below is his a little snippet from his letter to us.

"...So for my birthday we celebrated by eating American Food. Pizza and Ice cream. Probably the worst idea for my insides (lactose intolerance). We then had a couple lessons that week, but not any new investigators. Most investigators live too far away and they don't feel like it is convenient to come to church. It is really disappointing. It is starting to getting to get extremely hot. It is just so humid. I even sweat when it's dark outside. I feel like I am going to die. Anyways, whenever we go contacting, my companion and I, sometimes talk about myself. He says, "look! This is a Khon Thai (a Thai) that can speak perfect English!" Then I say, "Yes, the diaper is very ripe and ready to harvest." The Thai people look in astonishment. 

Anyways, we had a pretty good lesson today, just prior to writing you. There are two people that seem really all for it. They said they would keep all of the commandments and would come to church this Sunday! Yesterday we got 16 new contacts which is pretty amazing for Sakon. The Branch is pretty hilarious and very kind to me. Most Thai's usually question why I don't speak Thai. I just have to face the fact that I will never be complimented on my Thai, because I am Thai. haha They will just ask why I can't speak it. 

The work is really hard but it is awesome. I love being able to talk to everyone about the church. Sadly, a lot of Khon Thai reject it . They say they don't need it, or they already feel like they aren't going to heaven. We tell them straight forward the consequences of their actions, and hopefully they will think and ponder. I know the Lord is helping me in so many ways. I have slowly gotten better at the language and more investigators keep popping up. I know that what I'm doing is very important and that it isn't supposed to be an easy one..."
